Disneyland With A Toddler
We love going to Disneyland or Disney California Adventures. We purchased the premium annual pass which gives us access to the park anytime with free parking as well as up to 15% off dining or 20% off merchandise in select stores. Whenever I go, I don’t always park in the parking structure because I don’t want to deal with getting on and off the tram so I tend to park at Downtown Disney (which has free 3 hour parking and an extra 2 hours with validation at a restaurant or store.)
Here are some of our favorite things to do at Disneyland with a toddler:
Fantasyland– We tend to ride a lot of the rides here and hang out in this land. There are so many things to do. We love to ride:
- Casey Jr. Circus Train
- Dumbo the Flying Elephant
- It’s a Small World
- King Arthur’s Carrousel
- Mad Tea Party
- Mickey and the Magical Map at the Fantasyland Theater (right across from It’s a Small World)
- Storybook Land Canal Boats
Frontierland– We love to go to the Big Thunder Ranch and hang out at the petting zoo. There’s also an area within the ranch where they have special activities– during Easter they had the Spring Roundup
Mickey’s Toontown– This is a fun place for toddlers- so much to see and explore but the few times we went, it was very crowded. A lot of the characters are hanging out at their houses and you can line up to take a picture with them.
Our favorite thing to do in Toon Town is play at Goofy’s Playhouse. Little A loves to run around and climb through the watermelon and play on the slide.
Dole Whip at the entrance to Adventureland next to the Tiki Room. No Disney trip is complete without getting some dole whip before heading out. You can also watch the Tiki Room show while enjoying your dole whip!
Main Street– If you have time, you should definitely get your silhouettes done at the Silhouette Studio on Main Street (next to the Crystal Art store). It only takes a few minutes and you get a wonderful keepsake to treasure for years to come!
