If you follow my Instagram account, you’ll know that we are huge fans of Disneyland! We go at least once a week and take tons of pictures around the park. Do you want to know where some of the best Instagrammable places are? Everyone knows about the infamous blue and white wall by It’s a Small World as well as taking pictures in front of the castle. But did you know about some of the following places that I’ll show you in my post? Read on to find out about nine unique photo ops at Disneyland!
If you follow me on Instagram, you know that we love going to Disneyland! Besides making sure you pack all your essentials, a good stroller is definitely something you need for your child. You need the perfect stroller for a day at Disneyland so that when your child gets cranky, they can rest comfortably. The perfect stroller will also hold all the stuff you bring and will be easy to maneuver. Even though A is 4 years old, we take a stroller very time we visit because Disneyland is such a big place! (Honestly, sometimes I wish I had a stroller for myself.)
Venice Child Products reached out to me and gifted us their amazing Kangaroo Stroller. Ever since getting this stroller, we have not used our other one. I’m actually going to sell our other one. (True story!)
It’s no secret that we are huge fans of Disneyland. We have an annual pass and live about 20-30 minutes away so we try to go at least once or twice a week to spend time with other friends who have a pass or to enjoy the day. When my daughter was younger, I used to pack a lot of stuff but I don’t take as much now that she is 3. Now that my daughter is potty trained, we don’t have to carry as much stuff but I still try to take things “just in case.”
One of our favorite places to go for a few hours during the day is Disneyland or Disney California Adventures. We are only about a 20 minute drive from the theme parks so we can pop in there for a couple of hours on any given day. We usually stay for 3 hours max, depending on nap schedules. A few local mommy friends have passes too, so we have Disney days often. It’s nice to go with other moms who have young children so that the kids can play together and the moms can chat while we wait in line. We love Disneyland so much that I have even thought about taking the family to Disneyland Paris one day. Unlike the one in California, we don’t have to pack much or even look into finding travel insurance through companies like GoBear, but I know if this plan does go ahead to go abroad, I will have to do much more than that. You can never go wrong with Disney in all honesty.
We purchased the premium annual pass which gives us access to the park anytime with free parking, as well as up to 15% off dining and 20% off merchandise in select stores. It was pricey but after doing the math and knowing that we would go often, it was a better purchase than paying $99 for an adult ticket and only a 2-3 hr stay with a toddler (children under 3 are free).
Today was the actual 60th birthday of Disneyland! I was not going to go to either park because I thought it was going to be too crazy and crowded but I looked on the Mousewait app and the crowd index seemed manageable so I decided to take Little A. I’m so glad we did!
Parking was a breeze in the parking structure. Even the bag check line was nonexistent. We arrived around 11:30am and we had a great time. I mainly went for the experience and for the many photo ops that were available. Even though Little A will not really remember any of it, she will have these pictures to look back on.
To celebrate Little A’s second birthday, Mr. C and I took her to a character dining experience at the Disneyland Hotel. Little A LOVES LOVES LOVES Minnie Mouse. Who doesn’t? I thought that she would love eating breakfast with some of her favorite Disney characters and boy did she have fun!
Reservations are recommended so that you don’t have to wait 30 minutes or more depending on how busy they are. It’s quite easy to make a reservation online. Be aware that they have a 1-day cancellation policy where you will be charged $10/person if you cancel within 1 day of the reservation or do not show up.
