A and I have been to a few #OogieBoogieBash events but this is the first one for dad.

M-F 11am-7pm
Sat-Sun 11am-8pm
Dates: now until 1/07/24
Must make a reservation online
Cost: FREE but you do have to pay for parking in the structure depending on how long you stay. They do validate.

Location: Japan House Gallery, Level 2 of Ovation Hollywood

It took us about 30-45 minutes to see everything but you can stay as long as you want.

Rules:
⚡️ No video- I took pictures but used the Live Photo option on my iPhone which is why there’s some movement in this reel.
⚡️ Do not touch the exhibits or lean on the structures where the exhibits are placed.
⚡️Wear bags infront so you don’t accidentally hit the art or sculptures when you walk/turn.

They gave A a little booklet with pictures and info about the exhibits- I think it’s only for kids.

There’s a photo book you can buy for $48 that has great info about the art pieces and artists.

We loved seeing all the art as well as reading about the art pieces and seeing some of the sketches/process and tools used!

In case you haven’t heard- there’s a new gingerbread cookie in town for the fall and here is all the info:

It’s called the Gingerbread Calavera Cookie and can be found at the Holiday Cart in the lobby of the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.

It tastes the same as the beloved Gingerbread Cookie during the holidays which is my absolute favorite. The Calavera Cookie seemed softer/more moist but I put it in the fridge when I got home and it firmed it up.

Have you heard about the Anaheim Fall Festival in Downtown Anaheim? (AD)

When: Saturday, Oct 28
Time: 11am-6pm
7pm for the parade @anaheimhalloweenparade

It’s a free family event with fun activities, crafts, costume contests and more. You can purchase food at the various eateries on Center St.

This year is its 100th year for the festival so I’m sure there will be more fun in store! I’ll be sure to share more info as it’s announced. If you’re in the area during that time, check it out. Summer 2023 memories- low quality pictures with hi

Summer 2023 memories- low quality pictures with high quality people 😊

Summer flew by- I don’t even know what I did but I did get to spend some time with those I love. I didn’t get to see everyone I wanted to but grateful for the wonderful memories- for people making time for me, for running into friends at Disney, for fun times for good causes and sweet times with hubs and A 😊

We didn’t go to Disneyland as much as we usually do- the heat just made it unbearable for me and when A was younger, it was easier to convince her to go 🤣🤣🤣

We didn’t go on vacation far away due to hubby’s work schedule but we did have some fun weekends.

I didn’t do a lot of things related to movies or new shows or even post about them due to the strikes in the entertainment industry. No judgement to anyone that did- I don’t know what their contracts and agreements are and it’s not my place to know 🤣

Just wanted to share about my quiet summer- and not sure if the fall will be louder but I will share more helpful info which I know is my strength.

This is my 6th year homeschooling and I still don’t know what I’m doing but I have a clearer picture of what I hope A will learn and what kind of life I want for our family.

I know people have all sorts of opinions about homeschooling- such as it’s not “real school” or that we are all weird and that I’m not busy because I must be home all day. Lol

I am weird regardless of whether I homeschool my child or not 🤣 but if you’ve been here with me long enough- you already knew that. 😂😂😂 and other things ppl say- I’ve learned people will think what they think- so just let them 🙃

I wanted to homeschool my child because I wanted to spend more time with her, have more control over what she learned, to have a slower paced life, to show her that learning takes place everywhere, to be around different types of people, and to value learning not just knowing stuff and having the right answer.

I’m not sure how much longer this journey will be but it’s been a privilege to see her grow into who she was born to be and I have a front row seat to all of it. 🥹

I love my daughter but I am grateful for the retur

I love my daughter but I am grateful for the return of in person classes, routines and structure of the beginning of the school year.

Yes we homeschool so we make our own schedule but I’m glad we get back to our regularly scheduled programs, friends, co-ops, park days, and electives.

And I’m not ashamed to admit I need my free time to dance around 🤣, run errands, eat snacks without sharing and just do things without interruptions even if it’s to make a silly reel like this.

Happy fall- happy school year- the dog days of summer are over. LOL. 😆😆😆😆

Hoping the weather cooperates too.
