We had the best time this weekend at @knottsberryfarm for #KnottsSpookyFarm! (AD-media invite)

This family friendly event is back and runs from now until 10/31, Thurs- Sunday, plus Columbus Day.

Here are some tips and things you can do:
🧡 Be sure to download the Knott’s app for the ride wait times, show times, and map. I also love that the map shows you were to go/has GPS!
🖤 Trick or Treat in Ghost Town- lots of treats like chocolate, popcorn, sour candy, gummies and more.
🧡 See Creepy Critters in Livery Stable! Sometimes you can pet them outside the stable. There’s also a new photo opportunity with a critter.
🖤 Watch Bob Baker Marionette Theater presents Halloween Spooktacular inside the Bird Cage Theatre. The show is about 15 minutes long.
🧡 Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies are back to perform on the Calico Mine Stage!
🖤Linus Van Pelt’s Great Pumpkin Patch in Calico Park has pumpkin and cookie decorating that can be purchased for $7.
🧡 Meet Snoopy and other Peanuts characters on the Boardwalk. Check the app for times.
🖤 Enjoy Spooktivities at Calico Park for games, music and spooky stories.
🧡 Head to the Calico Mine Stage at 4pm for Snoopy’s Spooktacular Costume Party! Don’t forget to pick up a commemorative button from the front!

So much to see and do at Knott’s Spooky Farm! Hope you get to enjoy it.

I don’t totally understand ChatGPT or AI and whe

I don’t totally understand ChatGPT or AI and when I first heard about it- I was totally against it and thought it was irrelevant and a waste of time.

While I’m not totally sold on it, I do think there’s so many great things you can do with it.

This isn’t to say you should use it to create content and pass it off as your own but you can use it to help you with your content or even just in your life.

Here’s how I used it recently:
I asked ChatGPT to help me create lesson plans to help my 6th grader in writing. It gave me suggestions and then I was able to ask it to break it down into a 3 day/week lesson.

I then took those suggestions and researched things online to print out to help her. I can’t wait to get started! Now if only it can teach my child 6th grade math 😂😂😂😂

If you’ve been following us for a while, you know that a few years ago I started sending A to a learning center once a week for enrichment classes.

I jokingly call that my “free time” 😂 but it’s not really free time all the time because I usually end up running errands or taking care of stuff around the house.

Since she’s an only child, it’s been great for her to just interact with other kids, learn from other teachers and just get out of the house and do something without me.

It’s been good for me to have time for myself, hang out with friends, get things done around the house, and run errands alone.

✨Quiet Time Diaries✨

As an introvert, after hanging out with friends or just the hustle and bustle of the day.. I NEED to sit in silence without having to listen or interact with anyone 😂

This isn’t to say I didn’t have fun or enjoy myself. I 💯 did but I still need to veg ☺️

Sometimes I just “rot” on the couch for a little bit before having to do the next thing on my schedule. Other times, it’s just listening to music while driving home. 😊

I had a wonderful time hanging out with some dear friends today and afterwards, I drove to pick up A from her class in silence 😂😂😂

Sometimes when you’re feeling sad.. you just need a Disney day to bring a smile to your face. 😊

My Magic Key was up for renewal and I almost didn’t renew because we haven’t been able to go as often. A is older and likes to go with peers but her peers’ schedules are not as flexible. We don’t live that far but it’s more difficult to just pop in for the day when we have a huge list of things to get done for school 😬. I know that as homeschoolers, my schedule is flexible but I also can’t just put off things she need to get done for park days. It’s harder now that she’s in middle school. If we do want to go during the work, we have to plan ahead to finish our work/lessons before.

But we ended up renewing 🥹 because when we do go, it’s really the best and so magical.

Not sure how much longer our whole family will have a pass… it’s ok if I just keep renewing right??? 😂😂😂😂😂

I hope you get a little bit of this and that to bring you joy and glimmers in your life. Look for them because they’re every where. ✨✨✨✨
